An early October snowstorm piles snow onto an aspen that has not yet turned color. Best viewed in the larger sizes. I was expecting a frost last night but was surprised to wake up to a winter scene. It snowed much of the day and we got about five inches but much of it has already melted. This was taken through my kitchen window, as it was the only place where I could get this perspective.Your kind comments on my shot of the great white heron certainly made my day. Thanks so much! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Llama; best viewed in the largest size. I took this shot a few weeks ago but somehow failed to upload the images of the llamas (except for one) until tonight. I thought this guy was really sweet looking. Even though I was quite close to them, none of the llamas spit at me.Thanks for the comments on my shot of the reflections in the pool. I certainly appreciate your taking the time to stop and comment. Also, thanks to those of you who have been commenting on other shots of mine over the last few days. The week is speeding by. Great white egret at Corkscrew Sanctuary in Florida; best viewed in the largest sizes. As I was reprocessing the Everglades pics, I found this one that I had not even processed and it is actually one of my favorites, I think. I like the detail and position of the egret, but also the detail of the tree roots. Thanks so much for your nice comments on my shot of the tri-colored heron. I treasure every one!Have a good week!
I saw this on my way in to work the other morning; I quickly pulled over in heavy traffic and got out of the car and grabbed this shot. If I'd been a few seconds earlier, the balloon would have been directly in front of the peak. Timing is everything! Best viewed in the larger sizesThanks for your comments on my rediscovered shot at Lost Lake Slough. I'm so proud to be a part of such a talented community...the shots today were amazing!

A horse waits to be saddled at Chico Basin Ranch in Colorado; best viewed in the larger sizes. Chico Basin Ranch is south and east of Colorado Springs. It is a working ranch where retired horses are allowed to roam free much of the time. It is also a major stop for migrating birds.I was amazed to see my shot of the llama in the #1 spot all day. Thanks to you all for making that possible with your comments and thumbs up. Hope your week is going well and that you have a great day!
